PMP Exam Prep Course - Next Course March 15 - April 1

Please note that you must currently
be either unemployed or underemployed to
be eligible for these courses.

The next course is Mon March 15 - Thur April 1 due to Good Friday.

To qualify for the course, you must send your resume to info@otiac.ca and be confirmed before you register.

Vitesse – OTI, in partnership with PMI-OVOC (the Project Management Institute’s local chapter), are once again sponsoring the very popular PMP Examination Preparation Courses starting Monday, January 18th, 2010. The three-week course is best suited for project managers seeking PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification but is also applicable for preparing for the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) exam.

There will be two instructor-led courses during the same three-week timeframe: one running in the afternoons (1:00-5:00 pm) and one in the evenings (6:00-10:00 pm) every other day (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). The 12 modules of PMI’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK Guide) are covered in nine sessions. The courses are taking place in our newly set-up, more spacious classroom at Suite 210, 359 Terry Fox Drive, Kanata. Participants will receive 36 hours of instruction by our trainers and a certificate from PMI, which is one of the pre-requisites for taking the PMP credential exam. Thanks to PMI, our volunteer instructors and staff, as well as the sponsoring organization (Vitesse Re-Skilling Canada), these courses are being offered at cost, which is a substantial reduction of regular fees (ranging up to several thousand dollars). You must currently be either unemployed or underemployed to be eligible for these courses. YOU MUST SEND YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE COURSE to info@otiac.ca.  To register, go to http://bit.ly/5sqyka.

The course fee of $180.00 includes 36 hours of instruction (to all 12 modules of the 4th edition of PMBoK Guide), all course materials, PMI’s certificate, registration costs and GST. The courses do not include the PMBoK Guide, PMI membership or registration for the exam. To be eligible for the PMP exam, you will need a combination of a high school or bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of project management experience and 35 hours of project management training. Please see http://bit.ly/xuSBa for details.

By registering for the course, you:

  • confirm that you currently are either unemployed or underemployed; and

  • agree to join the Ottawa Talent Initiative and the Vitesse PMO Student Community.

Cancellation policy: Your registration may be cancelled up to one day before the start of this event, in which case the course fee less our costs (EventBrite fee, PayPal fee, GST) plus a $15 administration fee will be refunded. No cancellations will be accepted and no refunds will be given on the day of course start or afterwards.

For more information on these courses, please contact Peter Marko, Director, Project Management Office, by email at peter.marko@vitesse.ca or by phone at 613-254-9880 x224.
