Description:
Location: Ottawa, Ont Type: 6 Month Contract Mandatory to have valid Canadian Federal Government Secret security clearance. The proposed Information Architect should demonstrate experience in the following activities on a system implementation environment.
Qualifications:
Required Experience: • Experience as an Information Architect in a federal or provincial government environment; • Analyzing, developing and documenting existing capabilities and detailed requirements; • Recommending use of existing frameworks and/or classes, or refinements of same, during the process of architecting new systems, or extensions to already existing systems; • Recommending use of existing object frameworks and/or classes, or refinements of same, during the process of architecting new systems, or extensions to already existing systems; • Ensuring applications are designed for re-use; • Developing frameworks and recommending areas for improved capability and integration; • Evaluating the quality of data; defining conversion rules and describing conversion activities; • Managing and being responsible for both the data conversion process and the conversion activities of the Database Administrator and the Data Analyst; • Defining and documenting interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems; • Prototyping potential solutions, providing trade-off information and suggesting recommended courses of action; • Performing information modeling in support of BPR implementation; • Performing cost/benefit analysis on the implementation of new processes and solutions in conjunction with the BPE Consultant; and • Assisting in the provision of advice in developing and integrating process and information models between business processes to eliminate information and process redundancies. Additional Requirements: University degree or relevant experience.
