  Description: Our public sector client has an immediate need for an Intermediate Project Manager. The contract is for 6 months. Location: Ottawa Role and Responsibilities: 1. Conduct needs analysis for a full range of project items (e.g. design, project evaluation, schematics, construction cost estimating, preparing working drawings and specifications, contract bidding and administration, etc.); 2. Provide site needs analysis and documentation of existing conditions, space, planning, conceptual design and design development, review of codes, etc. Assist in development of budget and monitoring activities; 3. Provide project definition assistance including establishing goals and objectives; 4. Assist and prepare the Project Briefs for all projects; 5. Assist in the developing of the project plans including estimating budget, level of effort and resource requirements, work breakdown structure and schedule; 6. Managing, monitoring and reporting on project progress and identifying issues together with corrective actions; 7. Participating in the development of the communications plan; 8. Participating in the development of an implementation plan/strategy.

  Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 year experience working as a Project Manager; 2. A minimum of 5 Real Property projects delivered for Government departments or agencies; 3. Knowledge of building code, accessibility and other legislative requirements relating to Real Property projects; 4. Strong documentation and reporting skills.
